Granite Pathways Named Recovery Provider of the Year 2021
Granite Pathways' Strength to Succeed Program Named Recovery Provider of the Year 2021 by the NH Alcohol and Other Drug Service Providers Association

July 15, 2021 – Accepting the Recovery Provider of the Year Award from the NH Alcohol and Other Drug Service Providers Association was Lori Hebert, our Strength to Succeed Program Director. Following is her acceptance speech:
Thank you to the NH Alcohol and Other Drug Service Providers Association for this amazing honor!!
Thank you, Jessica Parnell, for that incredible introduction, and a HUGE thank you to John Iudice for considering and nominating our Strength to Succeed program.
I am here accepting this award on behalf of Granite Pathways Strength to Succeed Program, our 9 Parent Partners, 2 Field Supervisors and Program coordinator. This is a group who give all they have every day in serving families involved with child protection.
Strength to Succeed is made up of a team of professionals who bring our lived experience to the work we do. We are committed to building trusting relationships with families and with each other. We come from a place of understanding not only the barriers families face but the stigma that goes along with being involved in child protection. We value and honor family voice and know it is a crucial component for a family’s wellbeing.
This work is hard, and COVID presented a whole new level of challenges for the families we work with. As a team we did not pause. We all dove in as the program transitioned to complete telehealth and supported one another while navigating our own COVID related issues.
I began working with DCYF over 7 years ago after my own family’s involvement. Back then Strength to Succeed was just a dream.
Today the program is in its third year, has gone through two expansions and has served over 600 caregivers and their children. I am so proud of the work we do and humbled everyday by the dedication of our team and the families. We have witnessed the positive impact this program is having on the stigma attached to parents with Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder, highlighting that recovery is possible and families can heal together with positive supports.
We are grateful to the NH Alcohol and Other Drug Service Providers Association and its members across the state who voted for us. We are deeply humbled by your recognition and this award!!

Dear Colleagues,
The Governor’s Commission on Alcohol and Other Drugs is seeking to gather information from those with lived experience around substance use to inform their next 3 year action plan. The Commission has contracted with JSI’s Center for Excellence on Addiction to create and distribute a community survey.
We have identified your organization as one serving key populations we wish to reach. We would like to request that you please send the survey out to the communities you serve in an effort to reach New Hampshire residents who are over the age of 18 and have been affected or concerned about substance use.
The survey will be open until July 31st and is available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/
This survey is available in both Spanish and English, using the same link.

Join Granite Pathways for NH Gives: June 8-9, 2021
Proudly Participating in NH Gives: Support Us on June 8-9, 2021, 5 pm - 5 am
We are excitedly counting down the days until NH Gives, which is an initiative of the NH Center for Nonprofits. It is a statewide 24-hour online fundraising event designed to build community by connecting donors to local nonprofits and matching funds are available through the NH Charitable Foundation.
This year our goal is to raise $5,000 to subsidize our Safe Harbor Recovery Center programs and we need your support now more than ever! For those we serve, the isolation of the last year has been especially difficult. It is during these times that we must dig deeper and recognize our obligation to serve.
Help us spread the word about the essential work that Safe Harbor does daily and get others to join us in helping to make a difference in the thousands of Seacoast area individuals living in recovery along with their families.
Share our fundraising page with your network!
NH Gives begins at 5:00 p.m. on June 8th and ends at 5:00 p.m. on June 9th.
If you miss the 24-hour window for matching funds, your donation is still needed, and you can donate on our donation page here: https://granitepathwaysnh.org/donate/ .
