Safe Harbor welcomes June with its warm weather and sunshine. As a community, we open our doors and hearts in many ways during this season. Here at the Center, we will be hosting a variety of groups and events during the summer season—we hope that you will join us.
As always, we welcome and appreciate the assistance of volunteers. If you have time or skills to share, please do contact Terri Varney, our Volunteer Coordinator at 603-570-9806 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This month we kick things off with:
Welcome Summer/Open House BBQ
June 21st at 1pm we will have all the traditional BBQ treats and play games. Safe Harbor will be completely open for everyone to tour and meet our staff and volunteers. Please come and welcome summer with us!
Dual Recovery Support Group
We have teamed up with our neighbors, Connections Peer Support Center for this much needed group. Held here at Safe Harbor every Monday at 3pm, this peer-led group delves into issues and concerns of those with both a substance use disorder and mental health issues. This is a hybrid program and available in person and online.
Art In Recovery
Safe Harbor hosts two sessions of Art in Recovery. These sessions offer open art time to join others to have fun and to be creative with various art mediums in a calm, relaxing environment.
These sessions are free to all. Sessions are Tuesdays evenings from 5:15pm-6:15pm and on Saturdays from 8:30am-10:30am. Every other Saturday, an art instructor is on site to assist you to develop and hone your skills.
